Break Their Will (Level 1)

We've discovered a small repair station in {System Name}. By itself, this station is no issue, but when our patrols scanned the site they detected pirates in the area. This particular repair station is owned by a local mercenary gang that allows felonious individuals to dock there, and they are therefore aiding and abetting known criminals.

I would like you to do us all a favor and remove this repair station from existence. It's not registered in the government’s official database and it's being used to break the law ― that is all the information I need to authorize decisive action against it. It may be guarded, so be careful.

Tips

This is one of the more difficult Level 1 missions and will surprise new players a bit. When you enter the complex you will see a "Repair Station" and 3 "Auxiliary Power Array"s. When you attack the Repair Station, 12 enemy pilots will spawn in addition to 4 missile batteries and they all begin to attack!

If you don't see the Repair Station when you enter, fly into the middle of the cloud, and look for one of the floating structures. Right click it and choose "Add Large Collidable Structure to Overview".

Set your ship to orbit the repair station at the optimal range of all your weapons, and then open fire. Don't leave this orbit until the repair station is down because it will continue to repair the ships and missile batteries around it until it's dead. Drop a bookmark and warp out if you need to let your shields or armor rep up.

With the repair station down, you'll be taking missile fire from the 4 missile batteries arranged in a circle around the area, as well as up to two Mercenary Fighters. The missile batteries are totally ineffective at greater than 30km, though your ship will continue to shake with explosion visual and sound effects. Keep an eye on your shield/armor/structure HUD to determine the damage you're taking. Move to orbit one of the batteries. This will put you outside the effective range of the other 3 batteries.

Target and pop frigates on your way up to the battery. In a small ship like a frigate or destroyer your small signature and relatively high velocity will keep the battery's missiles from doing much damage. Concentrate on clearing the ships swarming around you, especially the fighters. Their missiles have large explosion radii and will damage you rapidly. Warp out if you need to.

With the fighters down, and the frigates, kill a battery. At this point you can ignore the other 3 batteries if you want and just loot wrecks. The explosions will continue, but you won't be taking damage from them. Alternatively they're worth 10,000ISK bounties each.

Alternative Solution:

The mission objective is complete after the station has been destroyed. Because it takes the pirates a while to reach you, it is possible to destroy the station and warp out without a scratch or a fight. Just approach the station at the optimal range of all your weapons, open fire, destroy it and warp out. This should only take one or two minutes.
