Curse: ERASE 1200 CAP from 75km away!
« on: June 09, 2008, 09:55:05 pm »
-fleet capacitor sniper-

By adding reactor control IIs and powergrid boosting rigs, you can fit a battleship-sized neut on a curse.

With decent skills, you can erase the cap of just about any HAC or recon from a distance of 75km!

Paired with a sniper, one of these could erase an entire interceptor support fleet in 5 minutes.

Really, the only important parts of this setup are the powergrid boosters and the heavy neutralizer.  The rest is window dressing, although some cap mods are probably necessary.

What you can fit as far as weapons really depends on your skills.  I don't have much room to fit anything other than small autocannons, but with advanced weapon upgrades, you could fit all kinds of missle launchers, etc.

I took 2 Cap recharger's out, and put in a sensor dampener and a sensor booster. I also filled the highs with Drone Link Augmentors.

An interesting variation is fitting an omen with a single tachyon :)

It will fit... the response when you hit people from that far out is classic :)

With my skills (AWU 3, Energy management 3 and systems op 4)  I can perma run this with just 2 cap rechargers, and no ancillary routers if you use a 3% PG implant.  I'd use 2 rechargers, 2 sensor boosters with scan resolution, and 2 tracking disrupter with optimal range reduction in the mids if you were paired with a sniper.

yeah but i think if your going to distance try a faction or officer nuet cam somone find the range you get with them plz because if its like extra 30km its worth it i think

Normal Neuts give you 75,600 m range
Faction Neuts give you 88,200 m range
Officer Neuts give you 92,400-117,600m
At Max Skills

Their is many Officer Neuts that give different ranges, It is easy to calculate ranges. In simple forum you multiply the optimal by 3 (With Max skills) , but if your skill isnt at three heres a formula you can use
0.4 X (skill level) X optimal + optimal. Thus with max skills you would have 0.4 X 5 = 2 + 1 = 3. Hope you understand.

Bugger the Cat, have an Eagle 100 odd KM behind you.

This made me laugh, in an evil, maniacal Dr Death kind of way :)
