Megathron: Plate/resist mega
« on: March 12, 2008, 01:39:17 pm »
This one isn't quite the gank plate mega, but does last a bit longer in 1v1s. I do seem to prefer it. I'm not sure if you need advanced weapons upgrades lvl4 or 5 for it. If you can overload it works very well with a small nos off-line fitted.

we should make sure this is a known good pvp fit so people give it thumbs up so it heads to the top of the list for the mega,  This is a classic and very commonly used fit that does the mega a lot of justice

hmmm is that suposed to be a large cap booster? Would do good to have if it can fit. Otherwise, good fit deffinately a little slow for my taste but with the mwd it wont be that bad.

Oh?

When the mega is in range it only needs cap for guns, point and web. The MWD goes off. So long as the fight isnt too long the medium with 800's should be fine. Heavy would be preferable but the cap drain is going to be nowhere near as bad as for an active tank where the heavy booster would be vital.

well ya we know, but you know it's nice to have a couple extra 800's for when you get nosed.. it's not as necessary as I guess i made it out to be, but it is nice to have, and if you can fit it then why not?

that set up tried and tested - its pretty much MAXED out for fittings - no chance your fittings a Heavy Cap booster on that - and seeing as not much cap is needed bar turrets etc plus the excessive dmg it puts out, even if its being neut'd hopes are he can kill it b4 it does too much dmg to him.

loving it so far Jav :)

hehehe thanks guys, tbh i would love to fit a neut on it, but its not going to happen. I would probably have to fit ions to it and well....

Wow, nice fit.  I've been looking for a Blasterthon setup that would work for me and I think this is it.  I had to dial back the guns to just T1 guns and I don't have heavy drones yet.  But even with the Regulated Maga Neutron Phase Cannons and no drones I'm getting 460 DPS with a 2452 alpha.  oh yeah thumbs up.  I guess it's time for me to take the plunge and go Heavy drones.
