The Hail is an attempt to combine the penetration of titanium sabot with the versatility of a depleted uranium shell. It consists of a fairly large titanium sabot shell with a payload of depleted uranium submunitions. It has tremendous damage potential but also has devastating recoil. This means that the ship's inertia stabilizers must be set much higher than normal, resulting in reduced ship velocity as well as consuming a considerable chunk of capacitor energy.

Can only be used by small tech level II+ Autocannons.
